There are a number of things that you shared with us that will be very important as we start our new foundation. Sharing concrete examples of policies and procedures will assist in building a structure for our foundation and our board that will impact our future work in the community. That our foundation can have a vision for community health improvement but it is also important to engage the agencies and people in our community that are doing the work. We both need to develop relationships and support each other to meet the needs of the community. It is also important for the foundation to provide capacity building programs for those agencies and groups to become stronger. Finally, you gave examples of successful programs you have done as well as offered words of caution about making grants over multiple years.
